I am the breeder behind Lone Willow Chesapeakes located in Winneconne, WI. Our goal here is to breed structurally sound and willing dogs that excel both as pets at home and working in the field. These dogs are so incredible and are capable of so much. It is my job as a breeder to make sure they are bred & raised with the tools they need to accomplish what they were made to do. Explain a little bit more about yourself. I grew up helping breed and raise horses and dogs. I met my first Chessie about 10 years ago when I met my husband. I fell in love with the breed’s loyalty and drive. I enjoy hunting with my Chessies and just spending time with them, my husband, and our horses. How did you get into breeding? Growing up breeding dogs and horses, I always loved helping a new life come into the world. When we got our most recent Chessie, we had no plans to breed until we realized how well he met the breed standards and had such a great temperament. Once we learned that, we wanted to produce pups as great as he is. What makes your breeding program special? ​ We work hard to well socialize our puppies to many different thing that help them settle into their new homes with ease.
